MMMC - Mark's Multi Media Converter

In order to complete this project I am teaching myself python and gtk(pygtk).
This project is a frontend for a multitude of different media conversion programs.
It is released under the GPLv3
Starting in version 0.02 the changelog can be found in the readme.txt file inside the compressed archive.
If you have the needed support programs version 0.02 should be functional except for the video to video tab.
Version 0.03 is released and now has a functional video conversion tab. It will encode to 3gp, asf, avi, flv, m4v, mov, mp4, mkv, ogv, psp, rmv, swf and wmv. The psp format option also creates the thumbnail.

For full functionality I recommend you compile mencoder/ffmpeg/lame from source or obtain them from repositories that are not sensitive to copyright issues. Examples: debian-multimedia(debian), medibuntu(Ubuntu), rmpforge/rpmfusion(Red Hat based distros/RHEL), PLF(Penguin Liberation Front/Mandriva) repositories. Some of the formats are subject to copyright, so they are not included in official repositories.
